=-:  PubChem Substance ASN.1 Formatted Data Directory  :-=


This directory contains compressed ASN.1 formatted binary data
of PubChem Substance information. Each file in this directory
contains a 'PC-Substances' blob.

Each file contains the records for a range of Substance ID (SID)
values.  The SID range is provided in the filename.  For example,
the file "Substance_00000001_00010000.asn.gz" contains the PubChem
Substance records with SIDs in the range of 1 through 10,000.

The ASN.1 object specification is provided in the file "pubchem.asn"
in the PubChem top-level "specifications" directory.

Databases of molecular data on the NCBI FTP site include such examples as
nucleotide sequences (GenBank), protein sequences, macromolecular structures,
